With Nintendo Switch 2 rumors finally heating up, fans aren't just hyped about the console's power and features – they're even debating the size of its physical game boxes! And now, a recent product listing from French retailer Fnac might have just spilled the beans on the Nintendo Switch 2 game case dimensions, sending the internet into a frenzy.
According to a report by Nintendo Life, journalist Felipe Lima stumbled upon a listing on Fnac's website for an unannounced Nintendo Switch 2 game from Take-Two Interactive, which included its packaging dimensions.

If the intel is accurate, the Nintendo Switch 2 game boxes are reportedly around 5.1 inches (approx. 13 cm) by 7.7 inches (approx. 19.5 cm). This would make them slightly larger than current Nintendo Switch game cases, but still a bit smaller than those for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
While Nintendo hasn't officially commented on this leak, the information seems like a pretty solid guess. It's not uncommon for retailers to get a heads-up on packaging dimensions early to prep for inventory and display. Regardless, this little tidbit has certainly sparked a fresh wave of chatter among gamers worldwide.
Although more concrete details about the Nintendo Switch 2 – including hardware specs and release date – are expected to drop during the Nintendo Direct scheduled for April 2, 2025, rumors are also swirling that the next-gen console could hit shelves between June and September of next year.
