Mackenyu also revealed his enthusiasm for joining "Assassin’s Creed Shadows," noting it was one of his favorite games during his school days. He recalled, "I didn't have a PS3 back then, so I could only go to my friends' houses to take turns playing 'Assassin's Creed.' So when I heard this new game would be set in Japan, I felt I absolutely had to be a part of it."

In "Assassin’s Creed Shadows," Mackenyu will provide both the Japanese and English voice acting for his character, Genyo.

"Assassin’s Creed Shadows" is slated for release on March 20, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms.
