Shuhei Miyazaki's hilarious hit manga, "Me & Roboco" (Boku to Roboco), has been a fan favorite thanks to its absurd daily antics and clever parodies of other Jump titles. Its TV anime adaptation, which kicked off in December 2022, quickly won over audiences with its laugh-out-loud episodes.
After the anime wrapped, a movie adaptation was announced, and after a slight delay, it's now officially set to hit theaters on April 18, 2025! The latest buzz? The film won't just feature our beloved original Roboco, but also four other Robocos from different world lines, each voiced by a star-studded cast. This massive lineup has definitely set the internet ablaze!
First serialized in 2020, "Me & Roboco" plunges us into a distant future where every home boasts a beautiful "custom-made maid" robot. Our fifth-grade protagonist, Boku, envies his classmates' maids and begs his mom for one. What he gets instead? The utterly bizarre maid robot, Roboco.
Roboco is built like a tank, can barely cook, shoots lasers from her eyes, and is obsessed with "Weekly Shonen Jump." The series is packed with hilarious homages to popular Jump titles, making its diverse comedic plots a huge hit with fans.
In this cinematic adventure, beyond the world of our main Roboco (voiced by Shun Matsuo), we'll meet Robocos from alternate timelines! Get ready for: the Orthodox Battle Style Roboco, voiced by Mayumi Tanaka; the Authentic Sci-Fi Action Style Roboco, brought to life by Shigeru Chiba; the Romantic Comedy Style Roboco, played by Sumire Uesaka; and the Showa Gag Manga Style Roboco, voiced by the legendary Masako Nozawa.
