Even if you've never stepped into the world of the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game, you probably know that reducing your opponent's Life Points to zero is one way to win. But there are also plenty of cards with special victory conditions, like the infamous "Exodia the Forbidden One," which grants an instant win if you gather all five pieces in your hand.
Recently on X (formerly Twitter) in Japan, a duelist shared their mind-blowing experience: their opponent actually managed to summon "The Creator God of Light, Horakhty" for a direct win! They were absolutely stunned, having never seen a deck successfully pull off such a victory before, and their post quickly blew up online.

"The Creator God of Light, Horakhty" (光の創造神 ホルアクティ) made its legendary debut in the manga's "King's Memory Arc" during the final battle. To defeat Zorc Necrophades, Pharaoh Atem invoked its power by uniting the three Egyptian God Cards.
Its real-life card effect reads:
Cannot be Normal Summoned. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by Tributing 1 "Slifer the Sky Dragon," 1 "Obelisk the Tormentor," and 1 "The Winged Dragon of Ra" from your field, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card's Special Summon cannot be negated. The player who Special Summons this card wins the Duel.

Our duelist was absolutely floored when their opponent successfully pulled off the full combo, summoning all three Egyptian God Cards and then Special Summoning "The Creator God of Light, Horakhty" for the win! It was their first time ever witnessing such a duel, and they couldn't help but praise their opponent for playing such a "romantic" (read: incredibly stylish and difficult) deck and actually winning with it.
And of course, the opponent, Delicious Rice ( @HakumaiTake ), is no slouch either! They've been building and refining this deck for competitive play since around 2023, consistently sticking to the "Horakhty" theme despite card list changes. Talk about dedication! They even share their deck-building philosophy on their blog.

For those familiar with Yu-Gi-Oh!, you'll know that "The Creator God of Light, Horakhty" isn't just any card – it's seriously pricey! This ultra-rare gem was a limited-edition prize, given to only 10,000 applicants during a 2011 event celebrating the release of Kazuki Takahashi-sensei's "DUEL ART" art book. Today, authenticated copies can fetch upwards of 200,000 Japanese Yen!
Anyone willing to duel with such an expensive card is clearly no ordinary player, right? Talk about flexing!
