The long-running Taiwanese-Japanese fantasy wuxia puppet show series, "Thunderbolt Fantasy Project," a decade-long collaboration between Pili International Multimedia and acclaimed anime/game writer Gen Urobuchi, is set to premiere across Taiwan on February 21, 2025. To thank fans for their decade of support, the official team hosted a premiere event on the 14th, followed by a "Fan Appreciation Festival" on the 15th. Voice actors Kosuke Toriumi, Takanori Nishikawa, Rie Kugimiya, and others, along with writer Gen Urobuchi, were all in attendance.
Beyond the exciting details about the upcoming film, "Thunderbolt Fantasy Project: Final Chapter," some off-stage moments have also been grabbing fans' attention online.
▼Takanori Nishikawa (aka T.M.Revolution) also shared a snap with his character, Lang Wu Yao.

▼He even paid a visit to Longshan Temple during his stay in Taiwan.
It all started when Takanori Nishikawa, who voices Lang Wu Yao and performs the series' theme song, tweeted about his curiosity regarding Taiwan's famous "Jin Jin Asparagus Juice." Now, Junichi Suwabe, who voices the protagonist Shang Bu Huan in the "Thunderbolt Fantasy Project" series and also attended the Fan Appreciation Festival on the 15th, has chimed in with his own reply to Nishikawa's tweet:
"By the way… the back of this drink can has this design. Is this a collaboration, or has it always been like this?"
As Junichi Suwabe's tweet shows, the back of the "Jin Jin Asparagus Juice" can features "One-Page Book" (Yi Ye Shu) from "Pili Fantasy: The Blade That Cuts Through Destiny," another series under Pili International Multimedia. And just as he suspected, it's indeed a special collaboration drink that launched in August 2024.

Perhaps it was the surprise of still finding this collaboration drink, coupled with Takanori Nishikawa's viral attention, that sparked heated discussions among "Thunderbolt Fantasy Project" fans, Pili puppet show enthusiasts, and netizens across both Taiwan and Japan. Some even likened it to the recent Yebisu Beer collaboration with "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" creator Hirohiko Araki, which featured stunning art on aluminum cans.
"Thunderbolt Fantasy Project: Final Chapter" is slated for a simultaneous release in Taiwan and Japan on February 21, 2025.
