However, Yuri Lowenthal, the voice actor behind Peter Parker's Spider-Man, recently offered a new update regarding the highly anticipated "Marvel's Spider-Man 3."

The ending of "Marvel's Spider-Man 2" saw Peter temporarily step back, allowing Miles Morales to take on the mantle as New York's primary Spider-Man. This narrative choice led many fans to worry that Peter's role in the next installment might be significantly reduced.
In a recent interview with The Direct, Lowenthal offered a clear answer to those concerns, stating, "Peter isn't gone. He's going to be in the next game, and I promise you he won't be sitting on a couch." This statement unequivocally confirms that Insomniac Games has no intention of retiring Peter Parker, ensuring his continued importance as a key character in future games. 
The release timeline for the game, however, remains a mystery. Looking back at the Insomniac Games leak from late 2023, their internal development roadmap reportedly indicated a "Marvel's Venom" spin-off in 2025, followed by "Marvel's Wolverine" in 2026, with "Marvel's Spider-Man 3" tentatively slated for 2028.
Adding to the speculation, recent reports suggest that Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) might launch its next-generation console, the PlayStation 6, by late 2027. This has led to widespread conjecture that "Spider-Man 3" could potentially serve as a launch title for the new console.
