A video of a tortoise shredding on a skateboard to chase a cat recently dropped on Instagram, and the internet can't get enough! Viewers are absolutely losing it, with comments like, "That speed is wild!" "I thought the cat was pushing it, but the tortoise is actually skating!" and "I can't stop laughing every time I watch this!"
Meet the stars of the show: Gunso, the tortoise, and his bestie, Yuki, a former stray cat. According to their owner, kusa.kame.gunso (@kusa.kame.gunso), Gunso is absolutely smitten with Yuki and always tries to keep up. But let's be real, tortoises aren't exactly known for their speed, especially when trying to keep pace with a nimble cat. So, their ingenious owner had a brilliant idea: a mini skateboard.
At first, Gunso seemed a little unsure about his new "wheels," tucking in his head and feet, hesitant to make a move. Yuki, ever the curious cat, circled the board, seemingly wondering, "What's this dude up to now?"
But then, as Yuki turned to walk away, Gunso suddenly extended a leg, and BAM! The skateboard glided forward smoothly! This unexpected move had the owner cracking up on the spot, and even Yuki paused in surprise to watch.
Now, Gunso is a total pro, effortlessly cruising on his board and even mastering how to get on and off. His mobility has skyrocketed! And for Gunso, the biggest perk of this new skill? Being able to zoom after his beloved Yuki faster than ever before.
