Last February's anime film, Haikyu!! The Movie: Battle of the Garbage Dump, wasn't just a massive hit in Japan, smashing the 10 billion yen box office mark; it also drew huge crowds of fans in Taiwan. Even over four years since the manga concluded, the series still boasts incredible popularity.
Today (3/2), at the official offline event "Haikyu!! 10th Event -NEXT STEP-", it was announced that production has been confirmed for Haikyu!! The Movie: VS Little Giant (tentative title, 劇場版ハイキュー!! VS 小さな巨人). Meanwhile, a special anime, Haikyu!!: Where the Monsters Go (tentative title, ハイキュー!! バケモノたちの行くところ), will be released as a TV anime.
Haikyu!! The Movie: VS Little Giant is the highly anticipated sequel to Haikyu!! The Movie: Battle of the Garbage Dump. On the Spring High semi-final stage, Shoyo Hinata will go head-to-head with Korai Hoshiumi, who also carries the moniker "Little Giant." This pivotal showdown is about to begin! Hinata, who has idolized the "Little Giant" since childhood, will now clash fiercely with an opponent who shares that very title.
