Gundam's official fashion brand, STRICT-G, has a history of dropping killer collabs with renowned brand ALPHA INDUSTRIES. Their previous releases, like the "Mobile Fighter G Gundam" leather MA-1 and "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury" MA-1 jackets, were huge hits with fans.
Now, the dynamic duo is back, announcing a fresh, revamped edition of the "Mobile Suit Gundam" LIGHT MA-1 "One Year War History" jacket! Priced at 44,000 JPY, it's currently available for pre-order on Japan's Premium Bandai website.

This new iteration is a fresh take on a collaborative design first launched by the two brands in 2020. Inspired by the iconic "One Year War" saga from "Mobile Suit Gundam," it comes in two distinct versions: "Earth Federation Forces" and "Principality of Zeon." The jacket's silhouette draws inspiration from the L-2B, a successor to the 1945 A-2 flight jacket. Unlike traditional MA-1s, this version ditches the heavy lining, making it super lightweight and perfect for those unpredictable transitional seasons.
The upgrades are stacked: we're talking low-sheen, high-quality fabric, a sharper, more streamlined fit, an ultra-lightweight design, and — wait for it — it's reversible! That means you can effortlessly rep both sides of the conflict.

Flip it inside out, and you've got a sleek black base, complete with the Federation's Pegasus emblem patch on the left sleeve and the "Blood Chit" graphic on the back – a whole new vibe!

▼ Principality of Zeon Version
This one comes in a military green base, loaded with a plethora of Zeon's signature patches. The "Remove Before Flight" tag on the left sleeve also features the Zeon insignia. The back features a "Blood Chit," a pilot's identification document used to communicate with foreign civilians and request assistance if shot down.
Reverse it, and you're rocking a black base, accented by the "Red Comet" patch on the left sleeve and the "Blood Chit" graphic on the back – talk about versatile style!
