"Digimon Adventure -BEYOND-," the 25th-anniversary PV for "Digimon Adventure" (announced back in October 2024), just dropped its full 4-minute trailer at today's "DIGIMON CON 2025" event! This epic preview not only brings back the iconic main cast from the 1999 "Digimon Adventure" and 2000 "Digimon Adventure 02" but also teases a never-before-seen moment from the final episode of the "Digimon Adventure 02" TV anime.
The production team for this PV is stacked! It brings back key members from the 2020 film "Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna" and 2023's "Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning." Even better, Hiroyuki Kakudō, who directed the original "Digimon Adventure" TV anime series, is back at the helm for this new project!
But does this mean we're getting a third movie sequel after "Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna" and "Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning"? Toei Animation hasn't spilled the beans yet. However, the PV clearly shows a scene that connects directly to the "Digimon Adventure 02" finale, and the synopsis mentions Taichi Yagami and Yamato Ishida facing an attack from a mysterious Digimon. This definitely gives us something to keep an eye on!
Story Synopsis:
Years have passed, and the kids who once embarked on adventures are still with their Digimon partners. More children than ever now have Digimon. However, this special bond casts a shadow—they face persecution and even become targets for military exploitation. While on a rescue mission, Taichi and Yamato are suddenly attacked by a mysterious Digimon—!
And for the theme song, get ready for "brave heart -DIGIMON Animation 25th Arrange ver.-," a re-arranged version specifically for this 25th-anniversary PV, performed by the legendary Ayumi Miyazaki!
