A YouTuber recently dropped a video challenging himself to build a PC using parts that cost just ¥110 (tax included), and it's got the internet buzzing!
The epic build-off was spearheaded by the "tetuyan TV" channel, known for its deep dives into repairing and modding used PC and smartphone parts, always exploring new ways to breathe life into old tech.
Over a year and a half, the creator meticulously hunted down a PC case, power supply, a motherboard with an integrated CPU and RAM, an Intel stock cooler, and an HDD – all for a mere ¥110 each. His mission? To assemble these ultra-budget components into a fully functional PC.

The testing phase wasn't exactly smooth sailing. First, the motherboard's HDMI port refused to output any video. Switching to VGA seemed like a workaround, but then the power supply wouldn't even kick on!
Suspecting a faulty power supply, he shelled out another ¥110 for a replacement. But after a deeper dive, the real culprit emerged: the voltage selector switch was stuck awkwardly between 115V and 230V, causing all sorts of power chaos. "Looking back, it still sends shivers down my spine," he recounted.

Once the voltage hiccup was sorted, the PC finally booted up like a champ and even managed to install Windows 10! While it won't be running the latest AAA games, it handles basic video playback and word processing without a hitch. And because aesthetics matter, the creator modded the case with new openings, 3D-printed brackets to fix the base, and even decked out the interior with carbon fiber-textured stickers for a seriously premium look.
However, there was a slight snag when tallying up the costs: the HDD actually set him back ¥220, technically blowing past the ¥110 challenge limit. But he clarified that it was the absolute cheapest he could find on the market, and it didn't dampen the spirit of the overall project one bit.

The outcome of this challenge absolutely blew viewers away! Comments flooded in, like, "Can't believe he built a PC for just ¥110, that's insane!" and "The final product is even better than I imagined!" Many encouraged the creator to keep up the incredible work, and he even hinted that he's already snagged an HDD for the true ¥110 price point, teasing a "complete ¥110 PC" challenge that has fans hyped!
