Recently, Japanese cosplayer Mikan-kun (@xmikanpapax) has been blowing up on X (formerly Twitter) with his jaw-dropping cosplay of "Empress" Boa Hancock from "One Piece." But here's the kicker: the person absolutely slaying as Hancock is actually a man, while the Luffy cosplayer right beside him is his wife! Netizens are going wild, showering praise on his incredible ability to embody the Pirate Empress.
Mikan-kun boasts a decade of cosplay experience. He first dove into the hobby after a female friend's simple plea: "Please, just try cosplaying!" And just like that, he was hooked! Over the years, he's tackled more than 50 different characters, aiming to cosplay every single one he loves. Now, he often teams up with his wife, Lunchpack Teitoku (@m_konox), for their amazing duo cosplays.
Turns out, this "Empress" Boa Hancock cosplay was actually his wife's idea – a request she'd made a year ago! So, Mikan-kun poured his heart into preparing for it. And boy, did it pay off! The results were absolutely phenomenal, with even his wife marveling at how perfectly he embodied the Empress.

He's even spilled his secrets: using silicone breast forms combined with meticulous makeup to achieve a natural skin texture and perfect bust. For that killer waistline, he strategically stuffs socks around his hips to enhance the pelvic curve, sculpting an even more defined silhouette.
He also opts for lighter makeup and partial false eyelashes for a more natural look. And, of course, during photoshoots, he consciously sucks in his stomach and strikes angled poses to soften his masculine physique.
