Super Sentai's "All Super Sentai Exhibition" Hits Tokyo Dome This August, Celebrating 50 Years of Iconic Tokusatsu!

The tokusatsu Super Sentai series has always been a massive hit in Japan, boasting over 40 titles since its debut. This year marks its epic 50th anniversary, with the commemorative series "No. 1 Sentai Gojūger" currently on air!

Today (April 5th), officials dropped a bombshell announcement: it's been exactly half a century since the very first episode of "Himitsu Sentai Gorenger" aired on April 5, 1975! To mark this monumental occasion, they're gearing up for the biggest "All Super Sentai Exhibition" ever, complete with a brand-new visual and a dedicated website. The mega-event is slated to kick off in August 2025 at Tokyo Dome City's Prism Hall, before embarking on a nationwide tour across Japan.

The exhibition's main visual fittingly features "Himitsu Sentai Gorenger," the trailblazing series that not only established the iconic five-colored hero team dynamic but also holds the record for the most episodes in the franchise. It ran for two years, totaling a whopping 84 episodes—a record yet to be broken by any successor!

True to its name, the "All Super Sentai Exhibition" will be a comprehensive deep dive into every single Super Sentai series, from "Himitsu Sentai Gorenger" all the way to this year's "No. 1 Sentai Gojūger." It's a journey through the Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa eras of Super Sentai history! Fans can expect to feast their eyes on approximately 500 actual props, costumes, robots, and models used during filming, with many items making their public debut!

Alongside the exhibition announcement, officials also dropped a teaser visual and a special promo video. The teaser visual is absolutely stunning, showing the five Gorenger members standing tall, looking back at 50 years of incredible history.

Mid-video, you hear children's voices shouting "Gorenger!" followed by the Red Ranger's heartfelt reply, expressing words of gratitude. This iconic line was personally recorded by Naoya Makoto, who played the original Red Ranger/Tsuyoshi Kaijo. Apparently, it was his own idea to convey "50 years of thanks to all the fans."

The "All Super Sentai Exhibition" is set to kick off in August, with its first stop at Tokyo Dome City's Prism Hall before touring across Japan. Fans of the franchise should keep an eye out for more details to plan their ultimate Sentai pilgrimage!
