Last July, the anime adaptation of the popular light novel, "Too Many Losing Heroines!" (負けヒロインが多すぎる！), took the airwaves by storm with its first season. The show quickly garnered massive praise, especially for its trio of "losing heroines": Anna Yanamami, Lemon Shioshio, and Chika Komari, each of whom amassed a huge fanbase. Even the protagonist Kazuhiko Onmizu's sister, Yoshiki Onmizu, became a hot topic. The light novels flew off shelves, becoming a bona fide hit and even selling out at one point.
Today, April 6th, during the "Tsukushi High School Literary Club Extracurricular Activities" event held at FOSTER Hall in Tokyo, it was officially announced that a second season of the TV anime is in production! A teaser trailer was released simultaneously, though a premiere date has yet to be announced.
"Too Many Losing Heroines!" is based on Takibi Amamori's light novel series, a charming romantic comedy that follows the "losing heroines" — girls who just can't seem to win the heart of their crush — and the protagonist, Kazuhiko Onmizu, who somehow finds himself entangled with them. The first season aired in July 2024, featuring Shuichiro Umeda as Kazuhiko Onmizu, Hikaru Tono as Anna Yanamami, Shion Wakayama as Lemon Shioshio, and Momoka Terasawa as Chika Komari.
Animated by A-1 Pictures, the show's stellar production quality propelled its popularity after airing, sending novel and merchandise sales through the roof.
