For many, childhood memories are incomplete without the iconic McDonald's "Happy Meal." Beyond the food, those special toys and giveaways were pure magic. Good news for fans: these events are still going strong, especially in Japan, often featuring multiple exciting collaborations at once!
Recently, McDonald's Japan announced a brand-new collaboration with TAKARA TOMY's miniature car series, "TOMICA," and the beloved "Licca-chan" dolls. Starting April 11th and running for three weeks, every Happy Meal purchase will score you a collectible toy from one of these awesome series.

The "TOMICA" and "Licca-chan" Happy Meal sets are practically an annual tradition for McDonald's Japan and TAKARA TOMY. The "TOMICA" cars come packed with cool little mechanisms – push them along and watch them go! Some even have clever details like headlights that appear to glow, plus connectable background pieces that let you build a mini-city or create a cool display.

Meanwhile, this year's "Licca-chan" collection is all about "Hair Design" and "Fashion Transformation." Kids can style Licca's hair, decorate her with stickers, and even transform her short skirt into a long one or switch up her color palette to create their own unique fashion statements!

Each of the two collaboration series features eight unique toys, released in phases over the three-week period. The first two weeks will see new drops, with all eight models available during the third week.

With features like opening doors, elevating ladders, and rotating propellers, these toys aren't just fun – they also help kids understand shapes and spatial reasoning. Role-playing as a "police officer" or "firefighter" can spark interest and imagination about different professions. Plus, collect enough background cards, and you can build an awesome multi-story garage!
The first wave of cars can be placed on a phone flashlight to create a cool headlight-glowing effect.

The second wave comes with street-themed designs that can be connected to build an entire miniature city. And here's a secret: a special hidden model is also part of the lineup!

All the hair and outfit components are designed to be easily handled by small hands, allowing children to learn everyday actions, practice fine motor skills, and develop their sense of style, creativity, and self-expression through play!
The first wave features "Dreamy Hair Design! Licca," where kids can use colorful braiding strings and stickers to give Licca fantastic hairstyles.

The second wave brings "Spinning Transformation Dress! Licca," allowing kids to rotate her skirt for different color schemes or transform a short skirt into a long one. Keep an eye out for a hidden model in this series too!

It's clear that McDonald's Happy Meals in Japan just keep delivering hit after hit, captivating both kids and adults alike! If you're looking to get your hands on these awesome toys, you might need to find a way to snag them or, even better, plan a trip to Japan during the event period!
