Japanese brand PREMICO (プレミコ), known for blending high-quality timepieces and merchandise with popular anime elements, consistently drops stunning designs that capture fans' hearts (and wallets!).
Recently, PREMICO announced an exciting collaboration with virtual diva Hatsune Miku, celebrating her 17th anniversary. This time, they're diving into the iconic VOCALOID hit "Senbonzakura" with a gorgeous Edo Kiriko cut glass. Priced at 43,901 JPY, this limited-edition piece is capped at just 1,000 units and is currently available for pre-order on the Japanese PREMICO website.
"Senbonzakura" is a legendary track uploaded by KuroUsa-P to Niconico on September 17, 2011, later making its way to YouTube, becoming one of KuroUsa-P's signature works. The music video's charming Taisho-era romantic atmosphere, character illustrations, detailed backgrounds, and operatic flair were key to its massive success. To this day, it remains a staple on Japanese karaoke charts and has been covered by countless singers and online personalities, solidifying its status as one of the most widely recognized VOCALOID songs ever.

The collaboration features Edo Kiriko (えどきりこ) cut glass, renowned for its clear colors and intricate patterns. This exquisite Japanese traditional craft involves skilled artisans hand-carving delicate, lustrous designs onto the surface of double-layered glass.
This special glass perfectly captures the "Senbonzakura" worldview, showcasing Taisho-era romance through its intricate carvings and a striking purple theme that embodies the song's aesthetic.
The design cleverly incorporates elements from the Hatsune Miku MV, including the "壱" (ichi) character from her outfit's back, the bicycle wheel from the background, cherry blossom petals, and the "Seihappo" (star-shaped Shippo) pattern. It's a miniature universe of the MV's iconic features.
The base of the glass features the "Senbonzakura" title, along with a unique serial number, highlighting its limited run of 1,000 pieces.
