Ayana Taketatsu Wins Switch 2 Lottery, Yuichi Nakamura Loses It – Oreimo Artist Captures the Drama!

April 24th was the day for Nintendo Switch 2 lottery results, and X (formerly Twitter) was a rollercoaster of emotions. Voice actors, VTubers, and celebrities flocked to X to share their wins – or their crushing defeats. Popular voice actor Yuichi Nakamura, a regular narrator for Nintendo Direct, famously ">melted down on social media after losing out, sparking a huge buzz.

Among the lucky winners was fellow voice actress Ayana Taketatsu, prompting Nakamura to hilariously declare he'd "cut ties" with her. Their playful banter quickly became a fan favorite online. Adding to the fun, Hiro Kanzaki, the illustrator for the light novel "My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute!" (Oreimo), drew a perfectly fitting comparison featuring Kyousuke and Kirino, the characters voiced by Nakamura and Taketatsu respectively. Fans absolutely adored the artwork.

On the day of the lottery results, Nakamura's X feed was a symphony of despair. He wailed, "A...aAA...aAAaA...aAAAAAAAH..." and declared that anyone who won was officially "dead to him." Talk about a complete meltdown!

Naturally, someone had to poke the bear. His voice actor friend Ayana Taketatsu replied, humbly asking him not to "break up" with her since she actually won. Nakamura immediately screenshot her reply, dramatically stating he was "ready" to block her. The digital axe was poised!

This whole hilarious exchange became instant inspiration for "Oreimo" illustrator Hiro Kanzaki, who masterfully depicted Kirino celebrating her win while Kyousuke looked utterly defeated, as if his "life was over."

(For those unaware, Yuichi Nakamura voices protagonist Kyousuke Kousaka, and Ayana Taketatsu voices his sister Kirino in the "Oreimo" anime.)

Fans went wild, praising the artwork. Comments flooded in: "This is peak voice actor humor!", "Dying laughing! The timing is too perfect", "Is this the new 'My Little Sister Couldn't Possibly Win the Switch 2 When I Didn't'?!", "Poor Kyousuke, Kirino's too happy", "Sensei, you're a genius!", "This scene feels so real, Kirino's happy face is adorable!".

Ayana Taketatsu happily retweeted, declaring it a "Kirino victory!"

Meanwhile, Yuichi Nakamura... became a "winner hunter" once more, collapsing into another "Ehhhhh?!" meltdown.

Hiro Kanzaki quickly clarified that he, too, was among the unlucky ones, firmly on Nakamura's side!

You've gotta hand it to Hiro Kanzaki for that lightning-fast reaction! Drawing the perfect "Oreimo" comparison for the situation was absolutely brilliant.

Nakamura's epic meltdown truly captured the raw emotion of a lottery loser. The good news is, those who missed out in the first round are automatically entered into the second drawing without needing to re-register. So, here's hoping Nakamura finally gets his Switch 2 in round two... right? (Please say yes!)
