If you're into Gunpla model kits, you've probably tried all sorts of techniques: painting, cutting, weathering, or even full-blown themed customizations. It's all about making your models truly unique!
Today, we're showcasing an incredible example of a fan creation brought to life. X user Hajikeru Hiro (@atushiiharara) took inspiration from artist and manga creator Takanasu Fujioka (@takanasu05) to fully realize Fujioka's fan-made Black Getter + Guncannon hybrid unit, the "Black Guncannon" (ブラック・ガンキャノン). This powerful build transformed a virtual mech from the manga into a tangible model, blowing the original artist away and earning massive praise from netizens.
The concept originated from Takanasu Fujioka's fan manga. In this wild take, Amuro, after witnessing the brutal attack on Side 7, transforms into a ruthless character straight out of a Ken Ishikawa manga. He then cobbles together a "Black Guncannon" from leftover Guncannon parts and a mysterious, glowing green reactor he "found," proceeding to absolutely dominate Char! It's basically the "Black Getter" from "Getter Robo Armageddon" all over again!
Fujioka is known for blending different franchises and character designs to create hilarious storylines. His popular works on X include themes from "Mobile Suit Gundam," "Neon Genesis Evangelion," and "Uma Musume Pretty Derby."
▼ He even drew up detailed mech designs!
Hajikeru Hiro stated that when he first saw the manga, he knew he had to try bringing it to life as a Gunpla. He gathered various "fitting" parts – 30MM components, Kotobukiya accessories, random bits, and even dental floss picks – and was thrilled to piece it all together. While he admits it's not perfectly polished, he definitely captured the essence.
▼ Especially the full cannon firepower from the manga!
He even tried recreating scenes from the original manga with his Gunpla.
The photos show it in its light-armor state with the cape removed, plus a full breakdown of all the parts.
It's truly impressive to see a fan-created mech brought to life like this. If you're into his work, check out his X account for more awesome creations – it might just inspire your next Gunpla custom build!
