Long rumored to be the next "Defenders" member to rejoin the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Jessica Jones has now been officially confirmed by Marvel Studios and Disney Studios. She will return for "Daredevil: Born Again" Season 2, reuniting with Charlie Cox's Daredevil, who was the first to make his comeback. Krysten Ritter is also confirmed to reprise her iconic role. Disney first announced the news today at their Upfront presentation.

In a statement, Ritter expressed her excitement, saying, "It's fantastic to be back after three seasons of 'Jessica Jones' and 'The Defenders,' and now officially joining the Marvel Universe. I'm thrilled to play this iconic character again, and it goes without saying, Jessica Jones definitely has more incredible stories to tell, and 'Daredevil: Born Again' is going to be an amazing season!" Ritter had previously hinted at her potential return multiple times on Instagram, and the news is now finally settled.
