Gundam's official fashion brand, STRICT-G, has consistently teamed up with major Japanese and American brands to drop various apparel items, earning a massive following among Gundam fans.
Today (June 5), they announced a fresh collaboration with veteran military apparel brand SPIEWAK. This time, they're dropping a unique L-2 Flight Jacket themed around the "GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION," the only IP-named exhibition hall at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. Priced at 44,000 JPY, pre-orders kick off today on the Premium Bandai Japan website and STRICT-G's official site.

They've chosen the lightweight L-2 Flight Jacket, originally designed for pilots in the late 1940s, as the base. As the successor to the B-15 series, the L-2 is crafted from nylon with a thin cotton or wool lining, emphasizing mobility and breathability – perfect for spring/summer or warmer combat zones.
The jacket features a robust, high-quality nylon twill fabric in a sleek, understated gunmetal grey. On the chest, you'll find a military-style patch inspired by the "RX-78F00/E Gundam Li Yu Equipment." This design is pulled straight from the immersive video experience at the "GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION" exhibit, giving the jacket some serious presence.

The inner lining on the back features a graphic design inspired by the life-sized outdoor Gundam statue, adding a cool hidden surprise.

The overall silhouette is clean and sharp, never over-the-top, with the fabric boasting a subtle sheen for that extra touch of quality. It's lightweight, comfy, and breathable, making it a super versatile piece that works for spring, autumn, and even early winter.
