Hi-Fi headphone brand Acoustune's sub-brand, ANIMA, has previously teamed up with popular anime like Bocchi the Rock!, BanG Dream! MyGO/Ave Mujica, and the mobile game Blue Archive, all to rave reviews from fans.
Now, ANIMA is back with a fresh collaboration, this time with the anime "Rock Is a Lady's Hobby," which aired this April. They're dropping two limited-edition wireless Bluetooth earphone models, priced at 18,000 JPY. Pre-orders kick off on July 25th via the ONKYO official website.
"Rock Is a Lady's Hobby" is a manga by Hiroshi Fukuda, serialized since October 2022. It follows Suzunomiya Ririsa, a girl who inherits her late father's rock spirit but ends up in an elite girls' school after her mother remarries a nobleman. The story chronicles her adventures forming a rock band with her schoolmates. The anime adaptation aired its first season this April.
These collab earphones are built on ANIMA's highly-praised "ANIMA AOW04" model, boasting top-tier audio tech. They feature Bluetooth 5.3, IPX4 splash resistance, AAC codec support, MEMS microphones, and ambient sound capture.
