Gina Carano, who starred in the "Star Wars" series "The Mandalorian," faced widespread backlash four years ago after posting a comparison of "the current situation of the Republican Party in the United States to that of Jews during the Nazi Holocaust." Disney and Lucasfilm promptly removed her from "The Mandalorian," ending her involvement, and she has since been effectively blacklisted by other major Hollywood studios.

Last year, Carano, refusing to let the matter rest, finally sued Disney for "discrimination" and "wrongful termination". Her legal battle gained significant support when Elon Musk, known for his outspoken stance against "political correctness," proactively offered to fund her lawsuit. Now, a year later, the high-profile litigation has finally reached a conclusion.

Carano, Disney, and Lucasfilm announced today that they have reached a settlement. Lucasfilm issued a statement expressing, "We look forward to the possibility of working with Ms. Carano again in the future," and acknowledged that Carano had always been respectful of her colleagues and had not offended anyone. In her own statement, Carano remarked that this was the best outcome for all parties involved and extended her gratitude to Musk, stating, "I want to express my deepest and most heartfelt thanks to Elon Musk. I have never met him in person, yet he performed this act of kindness for me." The specific terms of the settlement have not yet been disclosed.
