"Naruto" Creator Masashi Kishimoto Draws Crossover Art for Live-Action "How to Train Your Dragon" Film! Hiccup & Naruto High-Five Across Dimensions!

The live-action adaptation of the beloved animated classic, "How to Train Your Dragon," has already soared to impressive box office heights since its June release in Taiwan.

But for Japan, the film is set to hit theaters on September 5th. To celebrate, the official team just dropped a mind-blowing crossover illustration today (August 29th), personally drawn by "Naruto" creator Masashi Kishimoto! It's a dream team-up brought to life by Kishimoto's legendary hand.

In this epic piece, we see Hiccup and Toothless soaring through the skies, while Naruto and his trusty summoning toad, Gamakichi, leap with their signature swagger. Though these heroes hail from different worlds, they unite under the theme of "evolving towards legend," sharing a dimensional high-five that screams courage and adventure. The whole scene just radiates pure hype!

Fans are already raving about Kishimoto-sensei's incredible artistry, praising the top-tier dimensionality that makes both characters feel so naturally part of the same frame.

Kishimoto-sensei himself shared his excitement: "The animated 'How to Train Your Dragon' was absolutely incredible, widely recognized as a masterpiece among my fellow manga artists. And this live-action adaptation? It's just as mind-blowing! The dragons' backs are especially cool; just looking at them makes me feel like I could fly too! I had a blast creating this special collaboration visual, and I really hope everyone goes to see the movie."

While the film has been out for over two and a half months in Taiwan, this crossover is still a fantastic surprise! It's clear that Hollywood movies are increasingly teaming up with anime for their Japanese promotions, and honestly, it's a trend we can totally get behind.
