Paramount Pictures, recently acquired by Skydance, has announced a new multi-year global film distribution agreement with Legendary Entertainment. Under the deal, Paramount will handle marketing and distribution for Legendary's films, though this excludes China, where Legendary East will continue to manage its own marketing and release activities.
The first Legendary film to be released under this new partnership is the live-action "Street Fighter" movie, which has now officially been slated for a March 20, 2026 release.
The film's cast reportedly includes rapper 50 Cent as Balrog, Orville Peck as Vega, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Noah Centineo as Ken, and Andrew Koji as Ryu. The lineup is also said to feature WWE superstar Roman Reigns as Akuma, wrestler Cody Rhodes as Guile, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, and Eric André as the Ring Announcer.

The new "Street Fighter" live-action film is being helmed by Kitao Sakurai, director of the Netflix comedy "Bad Trip," which also starred André. The screenplay is penned by Dalan Musson, a writer on Marvel's upcoming "Captain America: Brave New World."
Additionally, an official plot summary has been released: Set in 1993, the story follows the estranged Ryu and Ken, who are recruited by the mysterious Chun-Li to compete in the next World Warrior Tournament. But a deadly conspiracy behind the event will test their bond and force them to confront the demons of their past. If they cannot overcome them, everything will be lost.
