At a special pre-opening event for the Fender Experience 2025 in Harajuku, Tokyo today (Oct. 9), the company announced a monstrous collaboration with Godzilla to celebrate the King of the Monsters' 70th anniversary. The limited-edition "Fender × Godzilla Collection" features three guitars and a matching effects pedal, with pre-orders opening on October 11, 2025.
This collaboration celebrates 70 years of Godzilla, with three unique guitars designed to capture the kaiju's overwhelming presence in a historic fusion of music and cinema.
The undisputed headliner of the series is a top-tier special edition guitar from the Fender Custom Shop. Not only does it feature a built-in "ROAR SWITCH" that unleashes Godzilla's iconic roar, but the guitar's body also glows under blacklight, mimicking Godzilla's atomic breath! It's a true collector's piece that blends supreme craftsmanship with pure entertainment.

This one-of-a-kind masterpiece is a joint creation between Fender Masterbuilder Andy Hicks and Los Angeles-based artist Tom Neely. To top it off, the Godzilla illustration by Neely on the body glows under blacklight like atomic breath, making for the ultimate on-stage special effect.

The real showstopper is the Tone 2 knob: push it to activate a built-in distortion circuit featuring the patent-pending "GLO (Gain-Linked Optics)" system. The system's brightness changes with the distortion level, causing the Godzilla dorsal fins on the pickguard to light up as if charging an atomic blast!
