On the closing day of Expo Osaka, renowned Japanese blogger and writer Yoppy (ヨッピー) showed up in a full cosplay of the official mascot, "Mymyak." What he didn't expect was to get recognized on TV by his own child's kindergarten teacher, leading to an accidental, utterly public humiliation that blew up online.
Yoppy shared on X: "Today, I took my kid to kindergarten, and the teacher suddenly asked, 'Did you go to the Expo? I saw you on TV... in that... Mymyak costume...' In that moment, my entire life flashed before my eyes."
He also mentioned that despite his cosplay being "nothing special," people at the venue kept asking for photos. "The terrifying thing is, even with such a basic outfit, so many people swarmed me for pictures that I couldn't even move."

Once his story went public, netizens absolutely lost it, flooding the comments with laughter and marveling at the teacher's "superhuman recognition skills."
