Penned by Yashichiro Takahashi, the light novel series "Shakugan no Shana" is a foundational work for many ACG fans, and this year marks a huge milestone: its 20th anime broadcast anniversary!
To celebrate, the official team has just dropped news of a limited edition 20th-anniversary watch. Every inch of its design is infused with iconic elements from the series, fully immersing you in the "Shana" universe. Priced at 29,700 JPY, only 2,005 units are available, and pre-orders are now open at Kadokawa Store and Chara-Ani.com.
Since its debut in 2005, "Shakugan no Shana" has been burning bright for two decades. This 20th-anniversary chronograph watch centers its design around Alastor's "Cocytus" and "Judgment" patterns. The second hand takes its shape from the "Blazefire Saber," and eagle-eyed fans will spot subtle details on the dial representing the "Reiji Maigo" and Shana's signature "ahoge" (antenna hair)!
The watch face features a "moon phase dial" symbolizing the intertwining of the Crimson Realm and the Human World. The moon phase display itself is themed after the "Heavenly Palace" and "Star of Dawn," with a rotating disc beneath the dial that slowly shifts with time, perfectly recreating the fusion of worlds in "Shana."
The asymmetrical black dial echoes the series' intense worldview, while the second hand is crafted in the image of the "Blazefire Saber." You can even spot the "Reiji Maigo" hidden within the dial! The entire design just screams "Shana," instantly igniting that fiery passion and nostalgia for fans.
Beyond the sleek stainless steel metal strap, it also comes with a leather strap inspired by Shana's signature coat, the "Yagasa." The outer leather is a deep black, while the inner side is Shana's iconic fiery red, complete with an engraved 20th-anniversary inscription and the official logo – pure class!
The watch's case back is inspired by Shana's "Jizaiho" (Flame Haze powers), engraved with the anime's premiere date, "October 5, 2005," and a unique limited production number. With only 2,005 pieces worldwide, this is a seriously collectible item!
