Is a "Resident Evil 0" Remake Happening? "Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy" Actor's Resume Sparks "Project Chamber" Buzz

Looks like a potential "Resident Evil 0" remake might be on the horizon! Foreign media outlets recently unearthed a juicy clue: an actor's resume listing an unannounced, major game project codenamed "Project Chamber." This seems to back up earlier rumors about Capcom's remake plans.

Back in 2024, Dusk Golem, a leaker with a solid track record for accurate "Resident Evil" info, hinted that both "Resident Evil 0" and "Resident Evil Code: Veronica" were getting the remake treatment. Foreign media had reportedly caught wind of similar information at the time.

Now, MP1st has taken the detective work a step further, discovering that Jon McLaren, the actor who voiced Star-Lord in the "Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy" video game, listed "Project Chamber" under the "Voice Over" section of his online resume. He even noted it as an "upcoming AAA game," strongly suggesting he might be taking on a starring role.

Here's where it gets interesting: one of "Resident Evil 0"'s protagonists is Rebecca Chambers. And since McLaren's appearance bears a striking resemblance to the other playable character, Billy Coen, fans are speculating he could be playing Billy in the remake.

Adding more fuel to the fire, Jon McLaren confirmed that his "Project Chamber" work was completed at Beyond Capture Studios. This studio specializes in motion capture and casting for games and previously worked on "Resident Evil 4 Remake" and its DLC, indicating a high probability that Capcom is tapping their services again.

Furthermore, Capcom stated in 2023 that they were considering remaking non-numbered titles in the series. The company has already successfully launched high-definition remakes of "Resident Evil 2," "3," and "4" in recent years. In a shareholder Q&A session in July of the same year, when asked if remakes would be limited to main numbered titles, Capcom responded that the team is "continuously discussing future expansion directions for the series to allow more players to enjoy the world of Resident Evil."

If these rumors hold true, a "Resident Evil 0" remake would continue Capcom's successful remake strategy, filling in earlier chapters of the series and reintroducing Rebecca and Billy's classic escape from the nightmare train to a new generation of players.
