The NHK Taiga drama "What a Racket! The Story of Tsutaju in a Dream of Prosperity," which premiered this year, has been making waves. It tells the story of Tsutaya Juzaburo, a publishing magnate known as the "King of Edo's Cultural Industry," with Ryusei Yokohama starring in the lead role.
However, a post late last night (11/16) from the official account sent Yu-Gi-Oh! fans into a frenzy on X. It featured behind-the-scenes photos of cast members Kenjiro Tsuda and Shunsuke Kazama dressed in Edo-era attire, seemingly holding cards.
In the drama, Kenjiro Tsuda plays Sokichi Takizawa, while Shunsuke Kazama portrays Kiemon Tsuruya. For many, these two need no introduction, having famously voiced Seto Kaiba and Yugi Muto in the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime. Their reunion, 25 years after their collaboration on the animated series, has sparked massive excitement among fans.
The caption, "Please stand by" (スタンバイをお願いします), immediately reminded many of Yu-Gi-Oh!'s iconic catchphrases.
