Capcom's latest entry in the beloved franchise, "Monster Hunter Wilds," which launched last year, shattered records on Steam on its release day. Fans are also gearing up for the "Monster Hunter Festa '26" in Tokyo on February 22nd, where they can celebrate with fellow hunters.
Today (2/10), the official team dropped some fresh intel on "Monster Hunter Wilds," confirming that Update Ver. 1.041 is hitting servers on February 18th. This patch introduces the souped-up Elder Dragon "Arch-Tempered Alshubelld" and its corresponding new gear. But wait, there's more! They also confirmed a major DLC expansion is in the works, so keep those eyes peeled for future announcements!

On top of that, the devs officially stated they're cooking up a massive expansion for the game. We're talking an expansion on the scale of "Monster Hunter World: Iceborne" or "Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak," bringing not just new monsters but a whole host of fresh elements to evolve the gameplay even further.
And of course, Update Ver. 1.041's biggest highlight? It's bringing a permanent roster of ★10 Arch-Tempered Elder Dragons to the event quests, kicking off with the Arch-Tempered Lockblade Dragon!

As for more details on the major DLC, expect an official reveal around Summer 2026. No firm release date has been announced yet, so hunters will have to stay patient!
