Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building to Host Pokémon Card Game Projection Mapping Show This March, Transforming Nights into a Dreamy Card Wonderland

The Pokémon Trading Card Game (PTCG) continues to draw in legions of players, and Japan, Europe, and America are no exception. New booster pack drops and tournaments alike see massive engagement, and card prices are soaring, solidifying its spot as a titan in the TCG world.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government just dropped some electrifying news: They're rolling out the "Pokémon Card Game TOKYO LUMINOUS NIGHT" project, kicking off March 20th. This dazzling projection mapping show, all themed around the Pokémon Trading Card Game, will light up the facade of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building No. 1 to celebrate Pokémon's 30th anniversary in style!

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building is no stranger to epic light shows; in fact, they've hosted similar spectacles before. Last year, they teamed up with "Mobile Suit Gundam" for the "TOKYO GUNDAM IN THE FUTURE" light show event.

With Pokémon Card Game hitting its 30th anniversary this year, they're literally bringing the card world to life on the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building's exterior. Expect Pokémon and iconic visuals from the cards to pop in stunning 3D, thanks to dynamic light and animation. Think of it as the ultimate, supersized outdoor Pokémon Card Game showcase!

The grand premiere is set for March 20th, with a special program kicking off at 6:15 PM. For the rest of March, catch it on weekends and holidays at 6:30 PM, 7:30 PM, and 9:00 PM. If you're planning to check it out, mark your calendars!

If you find yourself in Tokyo this March, a weekend evening trip to the Government Building is a must-do. It's free, totally Instagram-worthy, and an absolute spectacle you won't want to miss!

※ Other time slots will feature different projections. For April onwards, check the official website for schedules.
