The Pokémon Company is seriously leveling up its inter-series connectivity! Not only have they confirmed that the Nintendo Switch Online versions of "Pokémon FireRed/LeafGreen" will support "Pokémon HOME" transfers, but they've also officially announced that "Pokémon Legends Z-A" will link up with "Pokémon HOME" in Spring 2026. This means even more ways to shuffle your beloved Pokémon across different titles!

According to official info, any Pokémon you catch in the Switch Online versions of "FireRed/LeafGreen" can be zapped over to newer titles via "Pokémon HOME". This feature has been a huge talking point for fans, as cross-game transfers are pretty much the backbone of the Pokémon ecosystem these days. Without it, these classic remakes would definitely feel like they're missing a crucial piece of their legacy.
On the flip side, "Pokémon Legends Z-A" is also getting the "Pokémon HOME" data link treatment with other series titles. Once the feature goes live in Spring 2026, you'll be able to deposit the Pokémon you befriend in "Z-A" into "Pokémon HOME". Plus, you can bring your carefully trained Pokémon from "Pokémon Scarlet/Violet" and other series titles right into Lumiose City for new adventures!
However, the official word comes with a few key restrictions: Pokémon acquired in "Z-A" cannot be transferred back to existing series titles. Even Pokémon originally from other games, once they've stepped foot into "Z-A", can't be taken back to older titles. It's a one-way street! This design mirrors the rule for the Nintendo Switch versions of "FireRed/LeafGreen": once they're sent to "Pokémon HOME", there's no going back.
