The illustration in question is a fresh new visual for RADIO EVA, penned by Naoyuki Asano, an animator from "Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition." It features all five main characters rocking the brand's latest season of apparel.
This jacket is JAM HOME MADE's original "MONSTER LEATHER JACKET" design, which cleverly fuses iconic classic leather rider jackets. This time, under the creative direction of RADIO EVA, they've injected it directly with Unit-01's signature elements.
Design-wise, the left half draws inspiration from the British leather jacket brand Lewis Leathers' classic "MONZA," known for its sharp shoulder lines and distinct waist belt design, with an overall left-leaning focus (a nod to British left-hand drive). The right half, meanwhile, takes cues from American veteran brand Schott's legendary "ONE STAR" rider jacket, often hailed as the original template for all rider jackets. By sampling these historical masterpieces, they've crafted an asymmetrical, hybrid design.
