The figure skating anime and manga phenomenon, Medalist, has seen its popularity skyrocket, even earning high praise from none other than legendary skater Yuzuru Hanyu! Now, fans are buzzing with even more excitement.
Right after the second season wrapped up today (March 22), the previously announced theatrical film got a release window: 2027! To amp up the hype, a brand-new PV and key visual were unleashed, officially kicking off the “All-Japan Novice Championship” arc.
The movie picks up right where the TV anime’s second season left off, diving deep into the “All-Japan Novice Championship” and following our protagonists as they face a fresh wave of challenges.
The newly released key visual throws Inori Yuitsuka and her fiercest rival, Hikaru Kamizaki, into a head-to-head standoff. The whole vibe just screams “ready to conquer the top,” perfectly capturing the intense and fan-favorite chapter from the manga.
And the PV? It perfectly sets the stage for the film’s core plot: Inori Yuitsuka and Tsukasa Meijiro’s partnership will face even tougher competition at the “All-Japan Novice Championship.” Seriously, we can’t wait to see what happens next!
