Hiroshi Fukuda's manga, "A Rock 'n' Roll Lady's Way!", exploded onto screens as an anime last year, quickly racking up fans with its unique "aristocrat meets rock" band concept.
Now, guitar giant PRS Guitars just dropped a bombshell: the "SE Rock Lady Limited Edition" guitar, a stunning collaboration with "A Rock 'n' Roll Lady's Way!" This axe is a direct homage to the one wielded by protagonist Lilisa Suzunomiya in the anime. Priced at 150,000 JPY, it's a super exclusive run with only 690 units available worldwide.
This special edition is built upon the foundations of the SE Paul’s Guitar and the KANAMI Limited Edition, the signature model of KANAMI, guitarist for the Japanese rock band BAND-MAID.
Speaking of BAND-MAID, they're behind the anime's epic theme song, "Ready to Rock." What's even cooler? During production, the animators used motion capture technology to directly translate the band members' actual playing techniques onto the characters. This dedication resulted in incredibly realistic and immersive performance scenes that wowed both anime fans and music lovers alike.
To perfectly capture Lilisa's iconic guitar, PRS went all out. They've decked it out with:
a stunning pearl pink top, a sleek black headstock, a natural wood finish on the back, and custom-designed purple-tinted pickup bobbins. While the fretboard doesn't strictly follow the anime's exact design, it proudly features PRS's signature Bird Inlay, a beloved hallmark. And for a sweet little nod to the series, the truss rod cover sports a delicate lily motif – a subtle, yet perfect, Easter egg for fans.
This beast is loaded with TCI “S” Treble & Bass pickups, personally designed by PRS founder Paul Reed Smith himself, embodying years of PRS's pickup development prowess.
With a 3-way blade switch and two mini coil-tap switches, you can dial in a whopping eight distinct tonal variations.
