The original "Mononoke" TV anime first aired in July 2007, following the mysterious Medicine Seller, Kusuriuri, as he travels across Japan, wielding his Exorcism Sword to slay "Mononoke" – malevolent spirits. Wherever Kusuriuri and his sword appear, a new wave of Mononoke inevitably follows.
The "Mononoke" movie trilogy – "Umbrella," "Fire Rat," and the latest "Orochi" – continues the series' iconic "washi texture" art style and its breathtaking, scroll-painting-like world, further deepening the Medicine Seller's mysterious allure and the franchise's rich, intricate visual aesthetics.
This latest collaboration features two stunning long skirts, each inspired by a key figure from "Mononoke the Movie: Orochi": the protagonist Kusuriuri, and Kami-gi, the battle-ready form of his Exorcism Sword once unleashed.
