Tokyo's iconic landmark, the Tokyo Skytree, has a history of hosting epic collaborations with franchises like and , drawing in legions of fans. These high-altitude events, blending stunning views with immersive exhibits, have always been a massive hit.
Now, after a three-year wait, the Skytree is once again teaming up with the mega-popular IP Chiikawa for a new event: "Chiikawa☆Stardust Skytree and the Secret Island." The collaboration will transform the Tembo Galleria, located over 450 meters above ground, into the world of the beloved anime. Officials have just dropped the details on the exhibit's design, exclusive merch, and themed menu, all launching on July 10 and running through October 31.
The venue will be packed with photo opportunities across seven distinct zones, each offering unique installations and backdrops for fans to capture the perfect shot.
(Note: The event takes place in the Tembo Galleria on floors 445 to 450, not the lower observation deck!)
▼ Zone 1 - Soaring Through the Sky: "Setting Sail!"
Themed around the "Secret Island" story arc, this entrance area uses three massive wall displays to make you feel like you're setting sail on an adventure with the Chiikawa crew.

Here, you'll be greeted by characters in exclusive collaboration outfits. It's the perfect spot to snap a photo with a custom Skytree backdrop, featuring the stunning Tokyo cityscape that looks incredible day or night.
▼ Zone 3 - Corridor Area: "Fun Times on the Island"
Giant standees of various characters line the walls of the scenic corridor, letting you take pictures with your favorites while enjoying the panoramic views of Tokyo.
▼ Zone 4 - Turnaround Point ①: "Exploring the Cave by Boat!"
Located at the far end of the corridor, more than 400 meters in the sky, this photo spot features a backdrop illustration of the adorable trio, letting you pose right alongside them.

This area features wall displays themed around character pairings from the "Secret Island" story, allowing you to relive key moments and immerse yourself in the narrative.

At the exhibit's highest point, screens and speakers will fill the space with character voices and sound effects from the anime.

This spot features a special backdrop designed for you to pose your own plushies and figures against the real-life Tokyo skyline.

Additionally, a special photo service will be available in the elevator entrance area for 1,800 JPY. You'll get a professional photo taken with the characters against the Skytree's breathtaking view, which comes in an exclusive commemorative photo holder.
The "SKYTREE ROUND THEATER(R)," a massive 360-degree screen on the observation deck, will also play a special, limited-time Chiikawa video at scheduled times each day. The six-minute show uses 24 projectors and 13 speakers to create a powerful, immersive experience.
During the event period, the Tokyo Skytree's exterior lighting will also switch to special color schemes inspired by the characters.
Down on Floor 340, the "SKYTREE CAFE" will transform into the limited-time "Island Cafe," serving up food and drinks inspired by the characters. The currently revealed special drinks will each cost 1,100 JPY.
