"When Kamiina Botan Gets Drunk" Teams Up with Yamaha for a Boozy Music Event in Shibuya

The anime adaptation of mangaka Hei's "When Kamiina Botan Gets Drunk, She's as Cute as a Lily," a slice-of-life series about girls enjoying drinks and each other's company, has been winning over fans since it started airing this April. Now, the series is taking its good vibes to the real world.

It was recently announced that the anime is teaming up with Yamaha for a special collaboration called the "Tipsy Sound Terrace." The event is set to take over the Yamaha Sound Crossing Shibuya brand experience center from June 27 to August 16, 2026. Visitors can look forward to a fusion of music and mixology, with opportunities to sample the same beers the characters drink in the show and sip on lattes featuring character art.

The collaboration between Yamaha and "When Kamiina Botan Gets Drunk" was a natural fit, given the anime's numerous musical moments.

Scenes feature characters dropping the needle on a vinyl record for the first time, visiting YSC Shibuya to try out instruments, and showcasing Yamaha products like electric guitars, a Silent Cello™, and even guitar amps. Inspired by these connections, the two brands decided to create an event where fans can dive into new hobbies and experience the world of the anime firsthand.

The venue will also host beginner-friendly guitar and bass workshops, along with audio equipment demos for those new to musical instruments.

During the event, the CAFE at YSC Shibuya will roll out a limited-time collaboration menu. It includes beers enjoyed by the characters and lattes with custom anime-themed art.

▼ BREWDOG PUNK IPA Price: ¥990 (Limited quantities)

This is the IPA that Yusa Akane and her friends drink while listening to vinyl in Episode 3. Just like in the show, it will be served by the bottle for an authentic experience.

*Please note the bottle label will feature the current commercial design, which differs from the one depicted in the anime.

▼ SHIBUYA HAZY IPA Collab Set Price: ¥820 (Limited quantities)

An original beer brewed by GARCIABREWING Co., a craft brewery located in Shizuoka Prefecture, the same home as Yamaha's headquarters. Kamiina Botan is seen drinking this beer in Episode 10.

▼ Violet Gin Soda Collab Set Price: ¥720

A cocktail inspired by Yamaha's corporate color, "Yamaha Violet." It's made with KOMASA GIN, a craft gin from Kogomasa Jozo Co. in Kagoshima Prefecture. Hokuto Yaeka drinks this in Episode 10.

▼ "When Kamiina Botan Gets Drunk" Collab Mocktail Price: ¥720

This non-alcoholic drink is inspired by the "whiskey-soaked strawberries" and the overall color palette of the series. It combines strawberry and berry flavors with a refreshing fizz, making it the perfect summer beverage.

▼ "When Kamiina Botan Gets Drunk" Collab Latte Price: ¥690

A special latte featuring character art. Choose from three designs:

Kamiina Botan

Yusa Akane

Hokuto Yaeka

All collaboration drinks come with a limited-edition original satin sticker.

The venue will also feature special hands-on exhibits and activities.

1. Play the Instruments from the Anime

A variety of instruments featured in the show will be on display. You can try out Yusa Akane's favorite electric guitar, the PACIFICA612VⅡFMX, as well as the REVSTAR RSS02T electric guitar, a Silent Bass, and a Silent Cello from Episode 10. Some instruments will have tutorial videos, so even total beginners can easily pick them up and play.

2. The Vinyl "Needle Drop Experience"

Recreating the scene from Episode 3 where the characters listen to vinyl in their dorm's common room, this exhibit lets you compare digital and analog audio sources and experience the unique warmth of vinyl. Just like Kamiina Botan, you can place the needle on the record yourself for a truly classic listening session.

Experience Time: Approx. 5 minutes

Listening Track: "Kanjou Glass" vinyl record

3. Discover a New World of Hobbies

A Disklavier, a piano equipped with an automatic performance function, will play a medley of the anime's ending theme, "Kanjou Glass," and other background music. The arrangement was specially created for this event by Kana Hashiguchi, who handled the music production for the series. You can relax with a drink while enjoying the elegant piano performance.

Additionally, the adjacent liquor store, CATARATAS BOTTLE SHOP, will be selling alcoholic beverages featured in the series during the event period, including popular items like the sake "Chichibu Nishiki Junmai Daiginjo" and the shochu "Hyakunen no Kodoku."

Plus, if you show your receipt from the event's collaboration bar when making a purchase at the shop, you'll receive an original paper coaster as a gift.

This collaboration runs from June 27 to August 16, 2026. If you're a fan of "When Kamiina Botan Gets Drunk" and have a taste for music and good drinks, head over to Shibuya to soak in the atmosphere where the series comes to life.
