To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Sgt. Frog is invading the big screen for the first time in 16 years with the new film, New Theatrical Movie ☆ Sgt. Frog: Resurrected and Immediately Facing a Planet-Ending Crisis!, which premieres on June 26.
Just in time for the release, the film dropped its biggest secret: director and screenwriter Yuichi Fukuda has assembled a dream team of characters from his past projects for an insane crossover. That's right—the casts of the live-action TV series Yūsha Yoshihiko, the Hentai Kamen movies, and the live-action Gintama films are all crashing the party, with a grand total of 12 actors reprising their iconic roles. The "Fukuda-verse" is officially cannonballing into the world of Keroro!

Regarding his appearance, Takayuki Yamada joked, "I said I'd be 'back' for a movie, not that I'd be with a frog!"
Staying perfectly in character as the hero Yoshihiko, Yamada added:
"It's been 10 years since we defeated the Demon King. We promised we'd return for a movie one day. But hold on! I said 'return,' not 'team up with a frog'! Why am I going on an adventure for some amphibian? I'm busy with giant boobs and affairs right now (a Yūsha Yoshihiko reference)! Hey, frog! I'm going back to my village!"
How exactly these 12 characters from three completely different franchises will smash their way into the animated world of Sgt. Frog is anyone's guess. To see this epic "Fukuda-verse" assembly in action, you'll just have to invade your local movie theater!
