The legendary Japanese manga "Fist of the North Star," originally written by Buronson and illustrated by Tetsuo Hara, proves its undying popularity with a brand-new anime adaptation, "Fist of the North Star -FIST OF THE NORTH STAR-," airing this year.
Now, the iconic series is teaming up with camper van brand Direct Cars to unleash a special collaboration vehicle: the "Fist of the North Star: Legend of the Century's End Car Camping." Keeping with the series' symbolic number "7," only seven units will be sold worldwide. This post-apocalyptic ride is set to make its grand debut on July 11 at the Tokyo Camping Car Show 2026.
The "Fist of the North Star: Legend of the Century's End Car Camping" perfectly blends the series' signature wasteland, apocalyptic, and rugged aesthetic into a car-camping design. The base vehicle? A trusty Toyota HiAce Wagon.
On the outside, it's decked out with a front bull bar and a roof rack, boosting its outdoor utility and tapping into the popular Overlander off-road camping trend. The wheels feature Direct Cars' own BLUME brand 16-inch "Poseidon" aluminum rims, sporting a subdued color scheme that amplifies the vehicle's commanding presence and premium feel.
Around the back, you'll find a rear ladder, taillight guards, and exhaust finishers, with subtle nods to the series title sprinkled across the bodywork.
Inside, the cockpit area is fully upholstered in camel-colored leather-style material, complemented by brown accents and intricate stitching for a sophisticated and robust cabin vibe. Both the driver and passenger headrests are embroidered with the "Fist of the North Star -FIST OF THE NORTH STAR-" anime logo, immediately immersing you in the exclusive feel of this limited-edition ride.
One of the most eye-catching features is the exclusive window shade panel on the rear window. On the right side, you can choose one of four iconic characters—Kenshiro, Raoh, Toki, or Jagi—each accompanied by an original character illustration and autograph from Sensei Tetsuo Hara himself, making every single unit a highly collectible, limited-edition masterpiece.
Another standout is the interior ceiling design. The roof features a Big Dipper lighting effect, symbolizing "Fist of the North Star," allowing you to gaze up at the stars as you drift off to sleep—an immersive experience exclusive to this collaboration camper van.
What's more, the main power-on screen plays an exclusive "Fist of the North Star" anime-style boot-up animation, featuring illustrations of the Hokuto Four Brothers and the series logo appearing on screen.
These seven global limited-edition units will be sold via lottery, starting at 7.77 million JPY (tax included, estimated).

After registering, a deposit must be transferred within one week to qualify for the lottery. If you're not selected, your deposit will be fully refunded. Lottery results are expected to be announced by the end of September 2026. Following the exhibition, the actual vehicle will be displayed at the Direct Cars ATSUGI BASE showroom.
