Get ready for more chaotic adventures! The beloved fantasy comedy series, "KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World!", which started as a light novel by Natsume Akatsuki with illustrations by Kurone Mishima, and has since spawned multiple TV anime seasons, a movie, and spin-offs, is celebrating its 10th anime anniversary this year!
Back in January, during an official YouTube livestream celebrating the anime's 10th anniversary, the production of a fourth season was officially announced. Today (July 26), we finally have a premiere window: Season 4 is slated to hit screens in 2027! To mark the occasion, an exciting new teaser visual has been unveiled, along with the main staff, cast, and a special 10th-anniversary commemorative PV.
It's been over two years since "KonoSuba" Season 3 aired in April 2024, and a full decade since the very first season premiered in 2016. What a journey it's been!
The newly released visual for Season 4 comes with the tagline, "Let's embark on a new adventure together." It features Kazuma and his quirky party of four from behind, perfectly setting the stage for the wild new chapter that awaits them.
Behind the scenes, the main staff includes Takaomi Kanasaki returning as Chief Director, Manabu Kurihara as Director, Makoto Uezu handling Series Composition, and Koichi Kikuta on Character Design. Animation production will be handled by ENGI.
This marks the third time the "KonoSuba" anime series has changed animation studios. ENGI, a subsidiary of the Kadokawa Group, has recently gained recognition for its work on titles like "Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!" and "Medalist."
The 10th-anniversary commemorative PV, released alongside the announcement, is a fantastic trip down memory lane. It compiles iconic moments from every TV anime season and movie, starting all the way back with the first season in 2016, letting fans relive the epic (and often hilarious) journey of "KonoSuba" through the years.
