"Yanineko" OP Theme "Nanmo Nee" MV Stars Yuko Natsuyoshi & Tetsu Inada, Blends in "Kaiji" for Peak Absurdity!

The TV anime "Yanineko," which premiered in July and is based on the manga of the same name, has been racking up praise from fans for its incredibly realistic, gritty portrayal of smokers and addiction. Its top-notch production and absurd plot have definitely caught everyone's attention.

On August 13, the official music video dropped for the anime's opening theme, "Nanmo Nee," performed by Wasurennee Yo. The MV features voice actress Yuko Natsuyoshi (the voice of Yanineko), Tetsu Inada (the landlord), director Taku Kimura, and original creator Nyannyan Factory. They all gather in a strangely familiar-looking underground facility, serving up some truly bizarre and absurd vibes.

But here's the kicker: the MV even breaks free from the "Yanineko" universe, bringing in characters from the "Kaiji" series! Turns out, Wasurennee Yo has a history with "Kaiji," having performed the ending theme "C kara Hajimaru ABC" for the TV anime "Kaiji: Against All Rules" back in 2011.

Yuko Natsuyoshi, the voice of Yanineko, makes her appearance at the end. The MV also features actress Chiko Akaneza, who previously cosplayed Yanineko at AnimeJapan 2026, alongside the legendary Tetsu Inada himself, and even Kaiji from "Kaiji"! They're all smoking and drinking their way through the MV, with tons of iconic scenes from the original manga faithfully recreated. The dedication here is seriously next level.
