“Marriage Toxin” (マリッジトキシン), the manga written by Joumyaku and illustrated by Mizuki Yoda, garnered significant praise after its anime adaptation by BONES premiered this April, with many fans falling for one of its protagonists, Mei Shirasaki.
The official announcement recently confirmed that the "Marriage Toxin" anime's second season will air in January 2027, also unveiling the main visual and a promotional video for Season 2.
“Marriage Toxin” has been serialized on "Shonen Jump+" since 2022, centering on Hikaru Gero, an assassin from a prestigious family of poison masters. Despite his intention to remain single for life, his lesbian sister's inability to continue the family line leads him to agree to his grandmother's demand: get married and inherit the family business.
Through his work, Gero encounters Mei Shirasaki, a marriage swindler facing execution. He decides to betray his employer, enlisting Shirasaki as his matchmaking consultant, and the two form an unlikely partnership.

The newly released main visual for Season 2 features the bridge where Gero rescued Shirasaki in the first episode of Season 1. The image shows Gero holding a "poison user's" tool, a syringe, while Shirasaki holds a bouquet of flowers.

In addition, the promotional video for Season 2's main visual has also been released. The PV condenses Gero's journey into "konkatsu" (matchmaking activities) from Season 1, highlighting his encounters with various formidable opponents, offering a recap of the story so far.
