The anime adaptation of Look Back, the one-shot manga by Chainsaw Man creator Tatsuki Fujimoto, earned widespread acclaim. A live-action adaptation was announced last December, with celebrated filmmaker Hirokazu Kore-eda directing, and opened in Japanese theaters on September 11.
The live-action film has now revealed its third theater admission bonus: a 96-page Special Booklet Volume 2, available beginning October 3. Its biggest draw is the complete 82-page version of Chapter 1 from Shark Kick, the manga created by protagonist Fujino in the film. The booklet also includes cast messages and selected excerpts from Hirokazu Kore-eda’s storyboards.

The booklet also features selected storyboards by director Hirokazu Kore-eda, offering a closer look at his planning and attention to detail before filming began. A collection of cast messages shares their thoughts on the shoot and the original work.
Also included is the complete 82-page first chapter of Shark Kick, the manga serialized by Fujino in the film, along with its concept artwork. The manga was illustrated by Hanachika Toyama.
Shark Kick is Fujino’s hit serialized manga within the story. Although Kyomoto had already left to attend art school, she continued buying every volume and kept the complete collection on her bookshelf.
The covers seen in the original manga also pay tribute to Tatsuki Fujimoto’s own Chainsaw Man. This bonus marks the first time fans will get to read a complete chapter of Shark Kick.
Special Booklet Volume 2 will be distributed beginning October 3 at standard, Dolby Cinema, and Dolby Atmos screenings across Japan. Each moviegoer may receive one booklet per screening while supplies last.
