Illustrator Nagano's Chiikawa took the world by storm in no time, and its distinctive animated adaptation only made the adorable franchise even more irresistible. A theatrical film project arriving this year has pushed the buzz to another level.
Now, the franchise is teaming up with Japanese medical apparel brand Classico for a collection of medical scrubs inspired by the characters of "Chiikawa." The tops and pants are priced at ¥13,090 each and will roll out through Classico's official online store and other retailers beginning October 1, 2026.
Classico is a premium Japanese medical apparel brand creating lab coats and scrubs for doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Known for its tailoring-inspired style and sharp silhouettes, the label combines comfort with a polished professional look, leaving the boxy image of traditional medical uniforms behind.
More recently, Classico has expanded its collaborative collections through partnerships with franchises including "PEANUTS," "Pokémon," and "Sesame Street."
For its latest collaboration, Classico brings the world of "Chiikawa" into the workplace with scrubs designed specifically for healthcare settings.
Created for doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals, the special collection joins Classico's Scrub Canvas Club line. Chiikawa, Hachiware, Usagi, Momonga, and Kurimanju all make an appearance, but the designs remain elegant and understated enough for the clinic. The collection comes in four colorways—purple gray, deep navy, greige, and charcoal gray—with each featuring different motifs from the series.

The purple-gray design centers on the characters' adorable gestures. Minimalist line-art embroidery of Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi appears on the chest, creating a subtle detail that fans will recognize at a glance. It is an easy-to-wear option even for anyone who would rather not have oversized character graphics splashed across the front of their uniform.
The inside back panel features an original all-over print filled with items connected to the characters, giving fans plenty of tiny details to discover as they wear it.

The navy design draws inspiration from the "Weed-Pulling Certification" arc. The weed emblem on the chest is based on the certificate from the story, while the inside back print features scenes from the same arc.
Chiikawa's repeated attempts are captured in the design, accompanied by embroidered Hachiware and Usagi cheering their friend on.

The greige version brings Momonga into the mix alongside Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi for a lively four-character design.
Each character is embroidered in a signature color: pale pink for Chiikawa, pale blue for Hachiware, creamy yellow for Usagi, and pale purple for Momonga. Instead of bright, attention-grabbing shades, the design keeps the palette soft and understated.
The pockets also conceal the characters' faces, making them look as though they are peeking out from inside—a playful little touch worth watching for.

The charcoal-gray version scatters pale gray line-art embroidery of Chiikawa, Hachiware, Usagi, Momonga, and Kurimanju across the uniform. Part of the fun is spotting each character in a different place once the scrubs are on. The calm charcoal tone and discreet styling also make this an easy fit for healthcare professionals of any age.
