OxiClean x "Chiikawa" Limited-Edition Tub Brings Chiikawa’s Manga Miracle Cleaner to Life!

Illustrator Nagano’s Chiikawa took the world by storm in no time, with its delightfully distinctive style winning even more fans after the anime debuted. This year’s theatrical film has pushed the franchise further into the mainstream spotlight.

Now, the series is officially teaming up with cleaning brand OxiClean for a limited-edition tub of OxiClean 1500g Chiikawa Edition. That’s right: the cleaner that appeared in the original manga is getting a real-life collaboration. The product launches through retailers across Japan on October 2, 2026.

First, a quick refresher on the Chiikawa storyline. In this 2022 chapter, Chiikawa searches online for a way to restore the Black Shooting Star to its original state. The answer? OxiClean—and Chiikawa brings out an entire tub of it.

The chapter sparked plenty of buzz when it was first posted online, with fans immediately calling for an official collaboration. Roughly four years later, it has finally happened.

OxiClean is a fragrance-free oxygen bleach and stain remover that uses the power of oxygen to whiten, deodorize, and sanitize. It is suitable for colored and patterned fabrics and can also tackle grime on clothing and around the home, including kitchens, bathrooms, and entryways.

One recommended method is to soak stained items in a solution of dissolved OxiClean. For standard use, dissolve one capful—approximately 28g—in four liters of warm water at 40–60°C, then soak the item for around 20 minutes. Yes, the manga even shows you how.

After its memorable manga cameo, OxiClean is back in a limited-edition pink tub covered with Chiikawa characters. Swapping the brand’s usual blue packaging for pink, the design features Chiikawa, Hachiware, Usagi, and more. The container can also be refilled using separately sold refill packs, making it practical long after the collaboration ends.

The limited-edition collaboration tub will go on sale from October 2 at Chiikawa Market, Chiikawa Land, drugstores, home centers, supermarkets, and online retailers across Japan, including Amazon, Rakuten, and Yahoo! Shopping. It will be available only while supplies last.
