Hiroshi Fujiwara's "fragment x Pokemon" Collab Brings Black Pikachu and Mew to ComplexCon 2026 in LA

Hiroshi Fujiwara's influential creative label fragment design (FRGMT) is teaming up with Pokemon for a new collection, available exclusively at ComplexCon 2026 in Los Angeles.

Ahead of the event, the collaboration has unveiled short-sleeve tees and plush charms featuring blacked-out versions of Pikachu and Mew, carrying forward the signature all-black aesthetic of the earlier “THUNDERBOLT PROJECT BY FRGMT & POKÉMON” releases.

fragment design first joined forces with Pokemon in October 2018 for the launch of the THUNDERBOLT PROJECT BY FRGMT & POKÉMON.

The project debuted at HYPEFEST in New York and Amazon Fashion Week TOKYO before expanding to pop-up stores in locations including Ginza, Tokyo. Its extensive lineup of apparel, plush toys, and other merchandise drew widespread attention, cementing the project as one of streetwear's standout crossovers.

The latest collection once again embraces an all-black palette, with Pikachu and Mew worked into its designs. According to ComplexCon's official Instagram account, the complete “Fragment x POKÉMON” collection will be sold exclusively at the ComplexCon Gift Shop inside the venue on October 3 and 4, local time.

The first images reveal black T-shirts dominated by oversized Pikachu or Mew graphics, alongside plush charms and other merchandise.

The new “Fragment x Pokémon” collection continues the design language established in 2018, bringing familiar elements such as black Pikachu back for another round. The initial release is currently planned as a ComplexCon 2026 exclusive, with no word yet on whether the collection will eventually launch in other countries.
