MEDICOM TOY has unveiled the latest addition to its 6-inch MAFEX action figure line: "The Flash" from the DC superhero movie "MAFEX The Flash (Batman Suit Ver.)". Priced at 14,080 yen including tax, the figure is scheduled for release in August 2027.
Following its "The Flash" and "Batman (The Flash Ver.)" figures, MAFEX returns to the live-action movie with another release. This time, the spotlight falls on Barry Allen from the Flashpoint timeline created when Barry altered the past. With help from the original Barry, his younger counterpart gains access to the Speed Force and becomes another Flash. He then converts one of Batman’s suits into makeshift gear capable of withstanding the intense heat generated by his powers. During the battle against General Zod’s Kryptonian forces, Barry repeatedly turns back time in a desperate attempt to prevent his allies from dying. His obsession gradually pushes him to extremes, eventually transforming him into Dark Flash in one possible future. Near the end of the story, the younger Barry is accidentally killed by Dark Flash while protecting the original Barry, creating a temporal paradox that erases Dark Flash from existence.
Standing approximately 15.5 centimeters tall, "MAFEX The Flash (Batman Suit Ver.)" recreates Barry’s improvised, Batman-based costume. The armor is noticeably bulkier than the original Flash suit, with a rough red paint job that allows the black base color to show through. Beneath the lightning-bolt chest emblem is the raised outline of Batman’s logo. The removed neck guard and shaved-down bat ears, modifications made to improve Barry’s head movement, are also faithfully reproduced, capturing the costume’s unmistakably handmade look.
Three interchangeable head sculpts are included: a standard expression, a smiling face, and a serious unmasked portrait. Each depicts the cut Barry receives on his cheek from a Kryptonian soldier while capturing the facial likeness of actor Ezra Miller. The unmasked head also comes with a matching skin-tone neck piece. One of the set’s standout features is a collection of interchangeable damaged parts depicting Barry’s arm being gradually impaled by metal debris after repeatedly reversing time. Swappable shoulder armor, a right arm, and a left hand recreate the gruesome puncture wounds while capturing Barry’s increasingly unhinged, obsession-driven appearance. Signature lightning effects are also included, while the interchangeable hands and dedicated display stand can be used to pose the Flash firing a bolt of lightning.
