BANDAI's Gashapon brand has revealed the latest release in its "MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE" line, the mix-and-match Mobile Suit Gundam Capsule Toy series built around standardized connection points and interchangeable parts. The new "Mobile Suit Gundam MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE Hololive Collaboration Vol. 1" collection teams the popular line with virtual YouTuber group "Hololive". Two designs will be available for 1,000 yen per pull, tax included, with the release scheduled for late March 2027.
Leading off the collaboration are the RX-78-2 Gundam in Hololive-inspired colors and the Crossbone Gundam X1 decked out in the signature palette of Generation 3 talent Houshou Marine. The "Gundam Hololive Collaboration Ver." is based on the RX-78-2 Gundam released in MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE Vol. 30, featuring a lightly revised waist design, an all-new color scheme, and collaboration markings. It comes armed with a Beam Rifle and Shield. Meanwhile, the "Crossbone Gundam X1 Houshou Marine Ver." uses the same sculpt introduced in MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE Vol. 20, now finished in burgundy and gold with Houshou Marine's emblem printed across the chest. Its weapon loadout includes the Zanbuster. Both figures stand approximately 6.5 cm tall and are compatible with other MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE releases, letting collectors combine parts and build their own customized Mobile Suits.
