Did You Know "Quetzalcoatl" Actually Appeared in Thor: Love and Thunder? Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Latest Trailer - 12 Easter Eggs and Details Analysis~

Marvel's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever's second trailer not only continues to commemorate Chadwick Boseman but also reveals more new information, including the identity of the new "Black Panther" and an introduction to "Namor" and his people's beliefs. Below, we'll take you through the details and Easter eggs of this trailer~ You can also revisit the first trailer's detailed analysis first~

1. Never Forget
The song used in the second trailer is "Never Forget" by Zambian rapper Sampa the Great. This song pays tribute to "Zamrock" (Zambian rock), a music genre that originated in Zambia; the lyrics call on everyone not to forget the contributions of African peoples to the world.

2. Rest in Peace, Our King
The first trailer largely focused on commemorating and paying tribute to the passing of "T'Challa" Chadwick Boseman; continuing from the first trailer, the second trailer released more new footage. Among them, Princess Shuri holds the helmet that "T'Challa" began wearing after Captain America: Civil War, leading the funeral procession with the support of Queen Ramonda.

3. Namor
The footage also intersperses scenes of "Namor" ascending to the throne. The design of Atlantis's throne blends Mayan and Aztec civilization styles, as explained in our previous trailer analysis, where the crew aimed to avoid making Marvel's "Atlantis" too similar to DC's Aquaman. According to the film's production designer Hannah Beachler, the tooth shapes around the throne are inspired by the jawbone of the extinct prehistoric largest shark - the "Megalodon."

In the comics, in addition to communicating with marine life, Namor's superpowers often include summoning creatures believed to be extinct.

4. Quetzalcoatl
Through M'Baku's explanation, "Namor's" people refer to him as "Kukulkan," meaning Quetzalcoatl. Quetzalcoatl is the rain god in Mayan mythology, believed to bring abundant harvests to the people. Quetzalcoatl's status is equivalent to the Chinese dragon.

Interestingly, at the Council of Gods in Thor: Love and Thunder, "Quetzalcoatl" and "Bast" (the Panther God) were actually seated in front of Korg and Jane Foster!

5. The First Mutant
It was previously introduced that "Namor" is officially recognized as the "first mutant" in the comics. His mutant ability is to fly using the wings on his ankles, and the trailer also demonstrates this. According to actor Tenoch Huerta, who confirmed in an interview, this film will continue this aspect, establishing him as a mutant.

However, the official claim of "the first mutant" has actually received much skepticism, as "Apocalypse" was born in the 30th century BC, and Wolverine was born in the 19th century AD, both much earlier than "Namor."

6. Aneka
This new character, Aneka, belongs to the "Midnight Angels" unit in the comics. She was originally a combat instructor for the "Dora Milaje" but lost faith in her homeland and left after discovering that T'Challa was secretly collaborating with Namor, who had previously attacked Wakanda.

Additionally, Aneka and Ayo are a couple in the comics.

7. Okoye
It's worth noting that in the film's poster, Okoye can be seen wearing the blue uniform of the "Midnight Angels." The previous trailer also showed the "Dora Milaje" confronting the "Midnight Angels." Currently, we cannot confirm the different roles of these two units in the MCU, but it likely suggests that Okoye will defect to the "Midnight Angels."

8. United Nations
Ramonda delivers a speech at the United Nations. According to exclusive footage from the D23 Expo, Ramonda's statement here, "I know your whispers," is actually directed at officials from various countries, implying that they are feigning mourning for T'Challa while secretly attempting to exploit Vibranium. The next scene in the footage shows Aneka hidden among scientists, delivering a decisive blow to foreign enemies attempting to steal Vibranium alongside the "Dora Milaje," ultimately bringing them to the United Nations and embarrassing everyone.

9. Ironheart
The previous trailer speculated that Namor and the Talokanil might be attacking Wakanda because they feel threatened by "Ironheart" Riri Williams' invention. In this scene, Riri can be seen standing next to Ramonda, and Namor's frontal attack can be seen in the reflection on the window.

10. Homage to Iron Man
The "Ironheart" armor's visuals pay homage to "Iron Man" Tony Stark, and even the display inside the helmet is very similar to Iron Man's~

11. Harvard Bridge
The location of this car chase battle is the Harvard Bridge, which leads to MIT. From the previous trailer, it can be inferred that the Talokanil came here to abduct Riri Williams, who was then rescued by the Dora Milaje. From this scene, it can also be seen that Riri donned her Ironheart armor at a crucial moment.

12. New Black Panther Revealed
The trailer finally reveals the new "Black Panther's" armor. From the physique and the spots on the helmet, it's clear that Princess Shuri, T'Challa's sister, is taking over. This is because she is not only the sole heir by blood but also one of Wakanda's most intelligent individuals.
